Justin Tan is a Cambodian Canadian filmmaker, born and raised in Montreal before moving to Ottawa for his secondary education. His film White Belt was screened at the Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying Festival Courts d’un Soir and the TIFF Lightbox for MDFF Selects, and was described as a “humorous Bunuelian nightmare” by Cinema Scope Magazine. At 17, he founded Parseptchien Pictures, a company focused on producing and distributing Canadian films made by his generation to worldwide audiences and plans to release three more projects this year. Currently, he is based in Toronto, studying film at the Image Arts program.
